And as anyone would say ignorance is bliss. come on “if you don’t have anything positive to say then shut the hell up”? if that was the view taken by everyone in the world hen nothing would change, or is because im criticizing everything that your beliefs are based around.
Did you know that it was ignorant comments like what you just said that caused things like the inquisition and the crusades…murdering thousands of people because they didn’t have anything positive to say about your beliefs. Christians force their beliefs on people everyday and you expect people to accept it all without criticizing it. how about coming up with a decent answer when someone asks a question and hopefully that will start them on their path to righteousness instead of “if you dont have anything positive to say shut the hell up”

well….as i sed b4. christianity is all about faith. the ans. to ur ques are not gonna jus appear outta the blue. u have to jus believe. u cant kno or actually c evrything. im not sayin u shud jus accept evrything u hear. u shud challenge stuff. but even wen the ans. is right infront of u u still tryin to be rebellious. i never force my religion on anyone n i dont kno anyone who does. as far as im concerned live ur life how u want to n bleve wat u want to. but in the mean time dont mock wat other ppl bleve. it jus aint right!!!!
You just said to challenge stuff…so I’m challenging the ten commandments and your answer was “if u don’t have anything positive to say then shut the hell up!”. What is the answer that is right in front of me? you want me to believe that we have a God that orders the murder of thousands because they don’t believe in him totally contradicting the commandment of ‘thou shalt not kill’… you might argue that that isn’t done now but thats what the church is based on… the doings of the early church. from all the conquests and conversions to Christianity via murder and domination that they have done the church has built an empire.
you say i mock what other people believe in? having a different view of someone’s belief belief and asking for some answers is not mocking its human nature after all we were made with free will were we not? u cant make someone with free will and not expect questions.
to say “if u don’t have anything positive to say then shut the hell up!” is mocking my view… you have your views as well you said what George Carlin said was bullshit, thats fine with me thats your view…great stuff but to tell someone to shut up, thats like what they did to Jesus, they didn’t like what he was saying they told him to shut up…he wouldn’t so they killed him (sorry crucified him).
So tell me whats not right the church mocking other peoples views by telling them to follow them or die and you defending them by telling me to shut up or me writing about the church and the ten commandments and trying to promote positive/negative discussions…which one isnt right
oh and if you haven’t met someone who is pushing their religious views on you well I’m happy to hear that. but I’ve met many. By the way you are pushing your views on me… its either say something positive about Christianity or shut the hell up…lol

ok i was wrong to say shut the hell up. my sincerest apologies.
When some pharisees and some teachers of the law came fr jerusalem, they gathered around jesus. they saw that some of jesus’ followers ate food with hands that wer not clean, ie, they hadnt washed them. the pharisees and all the jews never ate b4 washing their hands in a special way according to their unwritten laws. and when they bought sumthing in the market they never ate it until they washed themselves in a special way. they also followed many other unwritten laws such as the washing of cups, pitchers, and pots.
the pharisees and the teachers of the law said to jesus “why don’t ur followers obey the unwritten laws which have been handed down to us? why do they eat their food with hands that are not clean?” jesus answered “isaiah wus right wen he spoke about you hypocrites. he wrote, “these people show honor to me with words, but their hearts are far from me. their worship of me is worthless. the things they teach are ntn but human rules” you have stopped followin the commandments of God, and you follow only human teachings”. then jesus said ” u cleverly ignore the commandments of God so u can follow ur own teachings.
“there is ntn ppl put into their bodies that make them unclean. ppl are made unclean by the things that com out of them. all these evil things begin inside the mind: evil thoughts, sexual sins, stealing, murder, adultery, greed…etc.”
i am not disputing the fact that some “churches mock other peoples views by telling them to follow them or die”, but u make it seem as if all are. as far as im concerned you dont av to follow evrything the church says or preaches because they themselves in sum instances do not. which is why the above scripture wus used. yes we all know…they r being hypocrites. but it is not wat they are doin but it is wat u are doing. if u know wat is right then do wat is right n lead so others can follow. which is wat jesus did right which is why he had so many followers. despite being criticised ..yes he still did wat he had to do.
and i kno ur gonna ask wat is right and wat is wrong. all his laws are writtten in the bible. yes i know the bible wus written by man. but as i sed christianity is based on faith and all ur faith needs to be is as small as a mustard seed. tell me…is it wrong to obey laws such as obeying ur parents in the name of the LORD, or not stealing…etc. what feelin does it bring to u by not doin em vice versa? iss it so wrong?
so whats the problem again? im doing what right, what George Carlin said wasnt wrong either you dont have to go to church to do the right thing Be honest and faithful thats all, simple.
and i am sorry IF your parents were raping you etc shud you still obey them…i dont think so and these are the commandments that were written in stone…honor thy mother and father. and parents these days are doing God he knows to their kids. so yes it is very wrong. and do i have faith? yes i have some but i have farr more questions.so if church leaders are sometimes hypocrites is it wrong to say that the church is based on false doctrine if not all but some… so unknowingly we are hearing crap.
Do you know why theres is so much crime in Jamaica and the world? most were not taught the proper thing by their parents…proper values etc and yet we must honor thy father and mother.
and if the commandments can be…ambiguous, imagine the Bible written and rewritten translated by some less than trustworthy people trying to give their people something to believe in while trying to keep law and order.

nothing is wrong with being honest and faithful. sumtimes its not wat u say but how u say it. look at the way he said it. sounds like a mockery n all.
the commandment says “HONOR YOUR PARENTS IN THE NAME OF THE LORD”…meaning when it comes to doin the right things. if ur parents rape u…its called FORGIVENESS! its jus like u lyin to sum1 u love n hopin they will forgive u. no sin is bigger than the other. so ur parents raping u is the same as them tellin u a lie or sumting. and agn, u forgive them then u obey them in the name of the lord! yes we all know forgivin ppl is hard to do but its better to forgive than to hate n grow bitter inside.
the church isnt based on false doctrines. the people know what they are preaching but they choose to follow whatt they want…well in sum instances. they r humans jus like mme n u. they make mistakes as well. leaders will fall but its up to them to rise agn or however the sayin goes.
for religions like the islamic religion that preach about holy war…thats their thing leve it in the east.
i agree. most ppl arent taught proper social values but im sure they wernt socialised by parents only. u have peers, schools, media..etc. people know that certain stuff are wrong. for eg. stealing, killing which is why they hide and do it. but it is easier to kill a man n take his money than to work several hrs to make the same amt. sum people prefer takin the easy way out while others believe in workin hard n doin the right thing. so its up to u n wat u want to do wit urself.
what does faith mean….”Being sure of what you hope for and certain of what you do not see” and “Faith is believing in things that common sense tells you not to.” so yes u shud have faith!
i believe i can fly, common sense tells me not to jump off a building cause i will die but i have faith.
