Everyone knows that everyone sins. No way around that. Going to church is not a place to be a better Christian, or to get your forgiveness. A relationship with Jesus is what helps you grow and be forgiven. We go to church to worship God. If you chose not to go then don't go. That doesn't bother me. I know you can worship God outside of church and you should do it the best you can 24/7. Most denominations do not fight over the main goal. They disagree over the small issues. Most won't even fight over them. I believe in full body diving baptism Catholics don't. So. They still believe in Jesus Christ. So do any other denomination that are Christian doctrine orientated. It become a big deal to those who make it one. I believe that people who go to church their whole lives can (and some will) die unsaved. You play on the action of the Catholic church during the crusades. Yeah they messed up bad with that. It was the individuals no the church though. I guess that is why we are called "sinful from our youth". I also commented on your comment at John P's blog. You know about dinosaurs, and the round earth.
