The island nation roughly 8000 miles away from my island home of Jamaica has captivated my thoughts with its rich history, culture and all around way of life. Being a self-proclaimed techie, japan holds a special place in my heart with its advanced technology that is way ahead of any other country in the world.

I always dismissed the idea of going to japan as one for dreamers and thrill seekers. Indeed, if I got the chance I’d be on the first plane out, not looking back, not caring what happens to my life after I leave it. But that never happens right? We live in our own little corner of the world and rarely venture out into the unknown. Not because you don’t want to but because of circumstances beyond your control.

Well I always dived into that dream and set goals that I never commit to such as trying to go to Japan within a set time period. But alas, it was not meant to be. Maybe what I need is a sign to get up and just go for it, but what would that sign look like? Well picture this, if you found a memento from the country you love from afar in your own corner of the world, not having ever seen nor heard Japanese there what would you think?

Well while I was walking on my way home one evening this week, I saw a strange circular object with a hole in the middle. Shiny and small, I picked up and examined it, it looked strange and had oriental engravings on it that I wrongly guessed to be Chinese. Well I brushed it off and carried it home to ask my friend Google what it was. Lo and behold after a few quick searches I discovered it to be a 50 yen coin. Of all the places! Of all the people to find a Japanese 50 Yen coin, I found it, me, the Japan enthusiast who needed a sign to go to Japan. It wasn’t the value of the piece because it couldn’t be worth more that USD 60¢, it was more the significance of the coin, the strange coincidence that brought me to it in a country that it has no place in being.

So I now keep this coin as a reminder of my private wish to visit The land of the Rising Sun.

Here in the Caribbean the most popular sports are, Football and Cricket. Now when I say football I don’t mean American football, I mean the sport that is actually played with your feet and is recognized WORLDWIDE as the true football (I refuse to use that other word). Now back to what I was saying… Football, is the largest spectator sport in human history, with the main event being The FIFA World Cup. The FIFA World Cup 2010 begins on June 11th and ends July 11th and will be held in South Africa for the first time. For more information visit the Wikipedia article.

Lets give some stats on the its worldwide popularity.

The 2006 World Cup Finals drew 716 Million Viewers, while the whole tournament attracted 30+ billion non-unique viewers. To put that into perspective, the Beijing Olympics attracted a mere 4.7 Billion Viewers while the Superbowl attracted 95 Million viewers.

FIFA has 208 member associations, which is 16 more than the United Nations and three more than the International Olympic Committee, though five fewer than the International Association of Athletics Federations.

United States has more official soccer players than any other nation in the world – almost 18 million. Of these, 78 percent are under the age of 18. In the 1990s, soccer was recognized as the fastest-growing college and high school sport in the US.

Football is the richest sport in the world with one team valuing 1.87 Billion (Manchester United)

Football has the largest fan following in the world.

But what makes the sport so popular? Football in its simplicity only requires two teams and a small round ball. So both rich and developing countries can play this sport with great ease as expensive equipment and specific playing grounds are not required. The rules are also very easy to learn; don’t use your arms (all other body parts are allowed), stay within the outer lines, and kick the ball into the opposing teams net. The hardest rule to learn is the offside rule, but even this can be understood after only a single game. It is these few requirements that make the game of soccer so exhilarating and fun to watch. Football requires both speed and great skill, players spend thousands of hours perfecting their art. The ability to have full control over a small ball is highly sought after, being able to kick at high speeds and with great accuracy can make a huge impact in any players sporting life. Every year Football becomes more popular than the year before, no other sport has been able to make this assessment. To sum up Football into two words; Passion and Simplicity.

PS. I know most people have a problem understanding the Offside Rule in Football and is probably the only rule in football that’s a bit complicated to understand. Please watch the video below to review the Offside Rule in Football.

Nicole visit that night to her neighborhood supermarket was not unusual as she made that trip once a week to restock her household supplies.

She reached up to the top shelf to grab a pack of those elusive butter pecan cookies that melted on her tongue giving her that unforgettable feeling of accomplishment. mid reach, she paused to stare at the object that had given her so much joy for the past 3 years. given to her by her husband on their wedding day, her wedding ring, a simple platinum diamond studded heirloom had made her happy beyond measure, as unlike most couples, she had found the man of her dreams. the rest of the checkout seemed to pass in a flash as she was still reminiscing on the lovely days and the warm erotic nights with her perfect guy. Just the mere thought of her husband inside her caused her supple nipples to protrude through her tight wool sweater.

She dropped her groceries into the trunk and proceeded to get into the car. One turn of the ignition and she was out of the parking lot and unto the quiet neighborhood street. For some reason she had the feeling that someone was watching her, a cold chill passed through her body as she looked up into her rear view mirror to see if her car was the only one on the road. Her view was blocked by a masked figure in the backseat, the sudden appearance of this ‘man’ caused her to swerve wildly into the wrong lane. As he reached around her neck and grabbed firmly he muttered to her to keep driving.

Heart racing, fingertips now numb and a foreign hand now around her neck she tried to oblige and continued driving on the right side of the road. “Where are you taking me” Nicole demanded in a child’s voice. Silence met her as she continued to drive fearful of stopping or signaling some passing vehicle. “Turn here” the gruff voice said a few miles down the road. As Nicole turned the car she realized she was going to the old Kendal farm. No one lived their as the owners had gone bankrupt from the drought the previous year. Heart now racing faster she began to fear what he was going to do with her. “stop right here and give me the keys” the now deadly voice whispered to her. she pulled the now infinitely heavy key from the ignition and handed it over to her captor.

Pulling her out of the car he looked up and down the young wife’s body. grabbing at her button-down sweater he began pulling at it watching as each button gave way to reveal a lace red bra. the trembling of her body from the ordeal she was experiencing sent the captor over the edge as he put his hand on her leg and began to slide it up further and further to her warm center.

Nicole now on the verge of a nervous breakdown, watched helplessly as he ripped her Victoria secret underwear from her body. His now tumescent member was rubbing against her leg and his hand was massaging her clean shaved pussy. What was this feeling she was having. The familiarity in his touch was causing her to become wet in anticipation of what he was about to give her. Slowly her fright was giving way to absolute thrill as she watched him unbutton his pants.

Quickly he pulled her skirt above her waist to look at what was awaiting him…a throbbing wet pussy looking like the a bar of dark chocolate… moist and tempting. He grabbed her legs and pulled them up and around his waist “don’t fight it” he whispered in her ear. At this point Nicole was far from fighting, helping his dick to find her pussy as she was ready to take all that he had. He entered her temple and he could hear a gasp of pleasure as she held him closer to his body. With each stroke Nicole held on tighter to this strangers body moving her hips to take in more of what he was giving her.

He turned her around and bent her over the trunk of the car and entered her from behind. the moist, wet pussy greeted him with open arms as he started his rhythm looking at the expression of joy on her face as she pressed her cheek against the car trunk. Nicole felt something building up inside her, she was ready to give her last scream. she pulled the strangers hips closer to hers and she bucked and riled, feeling absolutely content with her mind blowing orgasm. Reaching his peak the stranger gave her one last thrust as he exploded inside her, collapsing on her back in total exhaustion.

She turned around to greet her assailant face to face. she reached for the mask and pulled it off, she smiled and kissed him passionately on the lips and embraced him longingly. She said in a tone of finality “Nice one honey, next time ill be the one in the backseat”

During a deep meditation after having a drink of Appleton Rum, my mind wandered off into the world of religion. I wondered how many different types of believers are there. Not how many different religions there are, but if you were to pick one religion say, Christianity, how many types of believers would there be that practice their faith and, to what extent. Don’t get me confused with the idea of denominations/sects, I’m talking about the many levels of belief, starting with the fanatical believers and working its way down to the full blown satanics. I’m pretty sure I fall somewhere closer to the lower end but lets take a look at each segment separately.

The Fanatical: These are the people that take religious belief to the next level. The suicide bombers, the bus preachers, the holier than holy self righteous types. They believe that EVERYBODY is wrong and that they are right. They believe that their god is the only true god, and they will twist gospels and preachings to suit their own needs and propaganda. Everyone around them is a sinner even the devout and they will go to all lengths to try and save the sinners while simultaneously judging and condemning them.

The Devout: They are the individuals who are absorbed in religious exercises and duties. They go to church as much as possible, that is, Sundays, Wednesday Bible study and teach Sunday school. They will defend their beliefs in spite of overwhelming evidence that proves that their belief is flawed and they will choose their church above all else. They do not sin and if they do, God will forgive them. No sex before marriage, no divorce, nothing that is deemed wrong as per to the Bible or their denomination rules.

The life is screwed up: When you were younger you were a presumptuous sinner. You had your fun, made mistakes that you regret and now your life is screwed up. You turn to the church and god and you are now saved and reborn. You become a mixture of devout and fanatic. You go to church as much as possible and judge people as if you are god himself. Your mistakes have been forgiven and its like you never made them in the first place.

The Believer: You believe because you want to. You probably grew up in the faith but you made a conscious decision to continue. You try to live a good life and you accept people for who they are. You love yourself and everyone else. You try not to push your beliefs on anyone but you will give a few words of advice. You go to church every Sunday but you will visit a friends church and accept their religious exercises. You read the bible and volunteer when you can. You try not to judge others but sometimes it just happens.

The Traditional Believer: You go because your father and mother went every Sunday, your aunts, uncles, your parents parents, cousins and next door neighbor. You believe but you have no choice in the matter because you are expected to believe.

The Fear Holy Repercussion: You frequent church because you were scared shitless by your pastor when you were young. You were told if you don’t go to church every Sunday you would burn in the eternal fire of hell. If you miss one Sunday you give twice the tithes next Sunday.

The occasional visitor: You go because you think its a nice exercise, you may skip a few Sundays but you have to go at least once per month, well, unless you have vacation and you cant make it. Maybe next month.

The presumptuous sinner: Fornicators, party goers, alcoholics, adulterers, petty thieves, and liars all fall in this category. You go every now and again to ask for forgiveness for your particular transgression. When you make your plea, you feel cleansed and ready to transgress again. God will forgive you because you acknowledge your mistakes but you’re having too much fun to stop, god will understand.

The eyes wide shut: You are the same as the presumptuous sinner except you think, no you believe that you are doing nothing wrong. Monday-Saturday is a blur and on Sunday you are the most perfect of Gods creation. Anybody who thinks otherwise is a hater and you will pray for them.

The semi believer: You believe in a higher power but you will not go to church because everyone in the congregation is a hypocrite, you prefer to worship on your own (if any at all) but you fear God and try to live a good life. You accept that man sins and all that man can do is to try and live a good life.

The forced: You are probably young and still under your parents thumb. You have no choice but to believe what your parents believe and do what your parents do. You may think its all bullshit but you cant say anything for fear of punishment or being ridiculed. Your friends are all ‘eyes wide shut’ so you cant say anything to the contrary.

The ulterior motive: You have an hidden agenda. You may or may not believe but belief is not your primary focus. You may be in it for the money, using your natural power of speech to con people into giving extra tithes on Sunday. You may be pretending in order to get into the pants of a eyes wide shut. Your wife (damn you love that woman) decides to convert and you promise to go with her because you know better, if you don’t go no sex later.

The confused: You’ve been to a church, a synagogue and a few other places of worship and you realize something, they all preach the same thing, good will among men and to live a good life. The only difference is dress, practice and deities. You have no idea what which direction to take, Allah, Buddah and Jesus all make good points.

The agnostic (aka the dont knows): You don’t know whether or not God exist but you would prefer to spend your time doing something productive than to wonder whether or not you will go to hell for not making up your mind. You will go to church or engage in a friendly religious debate in order to see if something will tip the table one way or the other.

The don’t know don’t cares: You don’t know and you really don’t care whether or not religion is wrong or right. You are living in the moment, you have pressing matters to deal with. You try not to think of it and most of the time you don’t.

The Atheists: You know without a doubt that there is no such thing as heaven, hell or god. You think that religion is a story told ages ago to keep people in check and it got way out of hand. You believe in what you can see and hear and you wont be caught dead in a church.

The satanics: You believe god exists, you believe the devil exists too but you hate what god stands for. You like evil, havoc and mayhem. You set out to break every rule in the bible and you look forward to hell.

So that concludes my levels of belief. I challenge you to figure out which level you belong to, accept it and if you wish, try to change it.

We all have subconscious actions, things we do without thinking about it. Just being in a certain situation or experiencing a specific event can trigger a subconscious reaction. These changes can be physical or mental, for example, when you are nervous you may start chewing your nails. This is a physical reaction to nervousness, no one thought triggers this reaction but it happens nonetheless.

The same thing occurs when we ‘steal’ a pen. We borrow a pen and we subconsciously retain it for ourselves. What triggers that response? No one really knows, maybe the pen is the simplest object a person can steal or take for themselves without creating a negative response by the owner. I find myself using a friends pen and before I know it the pen ends up in my pocket. The same thing has happened with anyone who borrows my pen. Its a strange phenomenon that I hope someone can explain to me. Maybe we all want to subconsciously steal something. Not in a kleptomaniac sort of way, but to appease that primal desire to make our lives better by any means necessary. Throughout history man has grown through taking the belongings of others, whether or not you want to call it theft, conquest, inheritance, a loan or even credit. Each of these things gives us something that wasn’t ours in the first place, whether legally or illegally.

A pen, is easily concealable, easily forgotten, yet it has as much significance as any important object in our lives. Without one in our pocket we subconsciously desire the need for one and end up taking it without thinking about it. Its not a strong enough desire to remove it from a desk or a drawer but it draws an immediate and situational response, such as borrowing it from a a friend to jot down something important. The importance is thus made immediately clear and we subconsciously take action to fill that need. That doesn’t stop the owner from noticing the same importance of the pen, they may have a dozen other more expensive pens but the necessity of that pen triggers the obvious response to your subconscious theft…They want their pen pack.

Note: Please substitute ‘pen’ for any other object you may subconsciously want to pilfer. For example pencils & lighters

Next Chapter: The book borrower.

Almost everyone believes that time traveling is only for science-fiction movies. But do we really know if time travel is possible? If you ask an average joe on the street, they will think you are crazy, well most of them. However there are still some people who believe that time travel is possible. If you ask the guys with the brains, then they will have a neutral answer. Why? Because time travel is one of the mysteries which science isn’t able to solve, yet.

According to some scientists, worm holes and black holes present in space could hold an answer to all these questions. This is because in these anomalies, matter and time behave differently and in ways that make time travel seem plausible. But there are fundamental physical and scientific barriers that must be broken in order to test any time travel hypothesis. On the other hand, some of these scientists believe time travel is not possible, believing its just a work of fiction, from the imaginative minds of Hollywood writers.

Some have the theory of multi-dimensions, where there are alternate realities exiting parallel to our own, each being created by some hypothetical time altering event. So there may be a world where Michael Jackson was still black. Confusing isn’t it? Well it’s nothing compared to the mess we can create if we ever did have the opportunity to travel through time.

You will know what I am talking about if you watch time travel movies, for example Back to the Future. You may want to change something different or correct a mistake you made by going into the past. But instead, you could end up changing everything by making one minor seemingly insignificant decision. This is called the Grandfather Paradox. So time traveling is as much dangerous as it is confusing. Let me put it this way, if you were to prevent one person from doing what they were suppose to do, you could end up destroying an entire generation, a town, a city or even a country! Shocking isn’t it?

Every one of us knows our past, and maybe we want to change it. But many of us are rather excited to know the future and what it holds. But is it worth it? I mean even if we know the future, the events are more likely to happen anyways, we may try to course correct but destiny has a way of finding us. We can’t stop them, or can we? Well if you have ever experienced deja vu you will get a first hand experience of what it will feel like to time travel. Mostly you will feel that you have experienced it before and you can predict what will happen, because you have lived it. But can you change it? We all get deja vu’s once in a while, so do we have the answer to time traveling within ourselves?

All I can say is that there are experiments conducted by many scientific communities and governments and if they succeed we might have a very chaotic future ahead of us!

What would you do if you could time travel?

Interested in those Hollywood movies about time travel. Here are a few to get you started:

After reading Spanish Inquistor’s blog I have a few questions about religion and Christianity that i need answering. It seems that whenever a person is unsure about the whole religion thing and they need questions answered, the people who should know the answer either don’t answer with them saying that you shouldn’t question what is or they give you some round the bush answer that doesn’t really answer anything. You know what I’m talking about, the whole FAITH answer, you know, telling you to have faith and don’t question God for if you do bad thing will happen. Its like a big circle with every question having the same answer being recycled over and over again.

Someone once said religion is the opium of the people but its better to say religion is the rod of conformation. What better way to keep society in control, have a book with a set of guidelines written not by man but through man from divine intervention by a supreme being. Live your life by these guidelines and have eternal happiness, if you don’t you shall burn in a fiery pit for all eternity. Wow, some choice, conform or burn. In order to prevent people from not accepting what religion (Christianity) preaches someone invented faith, a nice word which means in my point of view “to follow blindly” and when people like me ask questions they cover their ears and make some incoherent sounds to prevent themselves from hearing.

(I think that this is the point that those people I’m talking will leave this page.)

I am not an atheist or agnostic i just have some questions before i commit to something, I’m not like the second monkey who jumped of the bridge because the first one jumped. If i remember correctly (from my days at Sunday school) God gave us free will, to choose how we want live our life and what we should believe just that if you make the wrong one you will go to hell (some choice huh). So in order to make the right choice i am going to take a scientific approach…pose the questions that i have and based on the evidence i will make a decision and not just take hearsay as Gospel (pun intended).

So without further ado here are my questions:

In the beginning…. it seems to me that most of this section of the Bible is highly speculative seeing that pretty much there wasn’t any written history around this time and if God put all the answers of how we came about in some guys dream he was being rather vague, i mean where are stuff like the dinosaurs? its hard to miss these large lizards prowling the earth. why didn’t he mention that the earth was round instead of having people stumble around in the dark killing people because they said it was flat.

Why create evil? seeing that God was the only thing that existed why did he create evil could he have just made everything good?

I suppose it can be said that God made the devil- again with some Sunday school memory, wasn’t the devil a angel of God’s and he became jealous and was cast down? why would God make angels, beings who are supposed to have been infused with as much goodness as possible and one became evil enough to be the Ying to God’s Yang.

If God can see the past, present and future why didn’t he see that the devil was gonna become a nuisance? or was that what he wanted? because if that is it then he is rather wicked.

Why is there an Old and New Testament? From the picture that was painted, God shouldn’t make mistakes and have to revise some of that was said in the Old Testament.

Last time i checked we were all God’s children so why is Jesus special, was he asexually produced by God or does God have a wife. A lot of people say God, Jesus and the Holy spirit is three in one, why is there three?

If God gave us free will maybe that answers a lot of the questions above. But if thats the case the bible could be a hoax. If we the writers of the bible had free will then maybe they wrote crap (note: not C.R.A.P.). Kings have huge egos and time and time again we have seen them use icons and ideologies for their own purpose, maybe the Bible was one of them. King James could have said “Take the early idea of early Christianity and write it in such a way to make it look like guidelines just so that i can control the people.”

I’m pretty sure that all the writings that were done by early Christians and disciples that were meant for the Bible weren’t put in there, so am i getting the whole story? How can i make a right choice without the whole story…i need the whole story.

The Commandments- Your whole life is based around those things and face it man is not too smart, so why make it so ambiguous? for example, “honor thy mother and father”, does that mean that if my father/mother molested me am i suppose to honor them still? because it didn’t have any subsection with stipulations, will i go to hell if i don’t? The commandment “thou shalt not covet thine neighbors belongings” hmmm does that mean that if i am really in love with my neighbors shoes and i go out and buy one exactly like it am i going to hell? and the other one “thou shall not covet thine neighbors wife” Again i cant have sexy thoughts about my neighbors wife? i don’t see whats bad about that. And lastly, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me” Does that mean there are other gods, but you shouldn’t worship them? because there is a definite differentiation between idols and gods according to the commandments.

What could the people in the Bible do that was sooo bad that God killed all of them in a flood save a handful and started anew? what could be worse than what people are doing today (holocaust, WW1, WW2, crusades, inquisition etc etc etc)

A mother and father grew up a child to kill, he didn’t know that killing was wrong, he didn’t know about God, Christianity or any form of religion. He died, will he go to hell seeing that technically he didn’t know better and he was just ‘honoring’ his mother and father?

What will happen to all those people who didn’t know about God/Christianity and were worshiping buddah, Allah or whoever ? Will they receive a get out of hell free card?

What if you live your life good, you did the right things but you just didn’t follow any religion, will you go to hell too?

If the Bible is right why are there so many denominations with each saying they are right, evidently one must be wrong and if thats the case who should i believe?

The early church (Roman Catholic) killed a lot of people in the name of God, trying to convert the pagans to the one true faith, believe or die. Seeing that the early church was based on the fortunes obtained through these massacres and they killed (and the commandments didn’t say anything about thou shalt not kill unless its for God) isn’t the Church today based off bloodshed and violence? How can you believe in an institution that has its foundation of death and bloodshed. Most of the Christian territories today weren’t by choice but by force…is that right? Don’t say for the greater good, because in this case the end does NOT justify the means.

If you speak against God or ask questions you are blaspheming, why is that? it seems to me thats just there to ensure that you don’t ask questions like these and find the many fallacies. I should think, that if you ask and you get a great answer backed by proof and irrefutable facts Christianity and the whole idea of God would get more believers.

If all sin carry the same weight except blaspheming and presumptuously sinning (Sunday School). Are you saying that if i lie or kill I’m going to hell either way, isn’t that harsh, putting me beside Hitler when all i did was tell a little white lie.

You cant deny that a lot of those early disciples and early Christians were very simple minded, maybe one day they ate too much hashish and had a mass dream, or they saw someone drowning and assumed Jesus was walking on water or the resurrection was just them seeing what they wanted to see, too many tears and sadness will cause hallucinations too you know.

Someone also told me that Jesus said that there will be many impersonators so do not believe them. What if someone appeared saying they were Jesus and he/she did a lot of wonderful, miracles and told you to write a new new testament would you believe them?

A lot of those early teachings read like things you should do in those earlier times for example, don’t fornicate. That just sounded to me like “hey y’all don’t have contraceptives and a kid in a broken home wont work cause women are treated like shit and thats not good to have a kid being grown up by a mother alone especially with ignorant people around”. Maybe now if there was a new new testament it would read “fornicate cuz yall have contraceptives and even if the girl get pregnant, no one cares she can raise the child and probably that child will grow up ok, its not frowned upon, and who says you have to be married to have kids, i mean the father can still take care of his kids” Don’t you think so?

With everyone holding a cross and praying to it/through it or whatever isn’t the cross like an idol? aren’t we manifesting and image of the Lord thy God through the cross? its just interesting that at the front of the church there is a cross that everyone is praying to…looks like an idol to me. After all we weren’t told by God (at least i don’t think so) to use a cross to help worship him.

Well, i think thats it for now, i hope i can get some answers

Additional Questions from Ed (link to comment):

But wait there’s more:

How can we have free-will AND an all-knowing god? This would mean that he already knows what we will be doing next!

Speaking of free-will, if god creates everyone, and he creates someone with limited skills/knowledge isn’t he limiting that persons “free-will”? No amount of willing will make me run if I’m stuck in a wheelchair…

Since we are not the original source of evil, wouldn’t an all-powerful, all-just, all-knowing god destroy the ROOT of evil instead (HIS own creation, Satan) instead of everyone else (and yet, he keep Satan around)? “Hmm… that snake is going to cause trouble… maybe I should poof it out of existence…”

I know he said he’d never flood the Earth again, blah blah blah, but isn’t that like a parent allowing a baby to play on a rooftop? Someone call DCFS!

Your religion is largely based on your family and your location. Christians like to believe that everyone else is wrong but… how can I be wrong for being born WHERE I was born and brought up to believe what my family believes (Christian or not)? After all, god made me AND put me WHERE I’m at…

God created languages (to confuse and divide people- not unlike religions) but what if my language has no concept of god?

Speaking of birth, if god created us, why did we get certain instincts pre-programmed, but we are not born with the one true religion? What is to say then that we will ever come across the “correct path” to him?

Ghosts- can they fly through walls? Does it hurt them? So how can one’s soul burn in hell? Feelings are due to nerves in our bodies, right?

Why not just appear to us all RIGHT NOW? End the bloodshed, unite us all, correct the wicked. People could still CHOOSE (free-will) to ignore, disbelieve, be wicked, etc. but at least they were shown proof instead of having to cherry-pick through some ancient book’s stories, misinterpretations, and mistakes.

Should we ALL still be punished for Adam and Eve? Isn’t that a bit harsh? Why dont we just send everyone to jail because a few of us are bad? If my puppy cannot pass algebra class should he be punished for it? Or should I know better than to expect the puppy to EVER know algebra? The same applies to Adam, the snake, and the apple.

When women had pimps who served as both bodyguards and accountants. Gone are the days when the art of prostitution was simple in concept where you knew where you stood in the scheme of things and you could name your price upfront. Now it seems there is another shade to that gray area, a brighter more appealing ‘legally’ and socially accepted route. It’s a fine tuned blend of the taboo mixed with the traditional creating the ultimate hybrid. I wish i could give this new arm of prostitute a name but i don’t think one has been invented yet.

We all know why prostitution is a taboo subject, women peddling their bodies for monetary gain while destroying themselves in the process. Also, moral issues such as corruption of minors and the Potential of being raped, beaten or killed is higher than normal. But i think the main reason is that sex should not be regarded as a commodity, separated from love. Approving of prostitution makes the statement that society approves of that divide.

But it seems we have found a way to re-word and redefine prostitution and somehow miraculously transform the worlds oldest profession into a money house for modern day independent women (and men alike). Gone are the days when women wanted admirable traits in a man such as:

Honesty

Reliability

Trust

Companionship

Hard working and goal oriented

Shared Values

And the Good ol’ ace in the bag…A good sense of humor

Now they are willing to trade one or more of the above for non-essential yet desirable attributes.Attrubutes such as:

The type of car they drive

Size of their bank account

And their stupidity and naivety when it comes to women.

Peddling themselves in a back alley of some bar to 10-15 men a night just to make a living while trying to keep the police and good ol pimp at bay is a shitty way to live. But now all they have to do is find a rich man and latch on for dear life, feeding him with sweet nothings (or in this case the sweetest thing) while dropping hints here and there about what and how much she wants, just to keep her in his life. Yet the sad thing is men or anybody else doesn’t see this as prostitution, women trading their self respect and independence for financial security by providing companionship and sex for however long the whole thing can last. May it have been reworded and redefined but that sound like prostitution to me.

Im not saying finding a rich man is a bad way to live, but what gets me is the pitiful attempt to set it separate and aside from prostitution when its basically the same damn thing. Yes finding a rich man could be considered ambitious but when you are willing to trade admiral traits for financial security, then it becomes a problem.

Lets face it, there have always been prostitutes, and there always will be. To pretend otherwise is humbug and hypocrisy. To re-label it and reinvent the business model is ingenious, simple in concept but complex in its execution. Its like the age old adage, dont re-invent the wheel, instead, why not add a spinning hubcap and call it a spinners to raise its value and add to its appeal.

I always say if it walks like a duck…

About the image above, sadly none of those movies made my top ten list but its a nice picture, thanks to the compiler. So without further ado…

1. Grandma’s Boy (2006)

‘My grandma drank all my pot’, Who can actually say that in real life? Alex typical 18 year old stuck in a 35 year old’s body. Living with his Grandma, Alex plays video games all day long (as a career), gets stoned with his friends and makes fun of the goofy nerd. This is a typical stoner movie that makes you question why is weed isn’t legal and why should grandma’s be all bad.
